The Rocky Mountain Ceramic Regional 2003 was a wonderful time with friends, both old and new. The weather was fabulous for the entire weekend, the classes were diverse, and we had a little fun along the way.
We had eight IADCCT members attending their first IADCCT event. We had four members of the newest IADCCT chapter, the Oklahoma Rose Rocks. The participants spanned the US, from California to Connecticut. The IADCCT board was represented by the Vice President, Charli Brown, and the Membership Director, Ann Barton. The Education Director, Caroline Wedeking, was also present. We had three Duncan Ambassadors at the regional - Pat Lackey, Faye Murray, and Musette Young. We couldn't have asked for a more enthusiastic crowd - a total of thirty ceramics lovers having a great time together.
Special thanks go to the regional committee, Leta Pietrafeso, Denny Wilson, Musette Young, and Bill Young, for the planning and organization that went into the regional. Circle D Ceramics (Jodi, Dixie, Denny, and Pete) donated the bisque for the glass slumping and press molding classes. Musette donated the bisque for her class. Muzu-Ya Raku (Musette and Denny) donated the notebooks containing regional and Golden area information. Musette donated the centerpieces and mugs for the dinner. Thanks, also, to everyone who chipped in with setup, other donations, and cleanup. We'd have to list every attendee to cover those bases - so a warm Colorado thank you to all of you!!
